4 green mango (1.5kg total weight after deseed and cut into strips)
10pcs Chili Padi (birds eye chili) – thinly sliced (add/reduce according to your preference)
25pcs Asam boi (preserved plum)
1 liter water + 1 tbsp salt (for soaking purposes)
- Soak sliced green mango in salted water for at least 30 minutes (This is to ensure the mango turns out crunchy)
- Wash and drain the water completely.
- Add sugar + assam boi + birds eye chili with green mango and mix until all mangoes are coated with sugar.
- Place them into a jar and into the fridge for at least 2 days.
- Serve chilled. Enjoy!
